Head of Domestic Sales – Edelweiss Prime Brokerage Services
A finance professional with 17 years of experience, Rakesh Rathod heads Domestic Sales for Edelweiss Prime Brokerage Services where he primarily oversees the PMS/AIF industry. A Chartered Accountant by education, Rakesh is also a Certified Financial Planner and a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser.
He has worked with leading financial institutions such as Sharekhan, Motilal Oswal, IIFL, Prabhudas Lilladher and MCX-SX, gaining valuable experience across functions from operations and product strategy to business development and marketing. A well-rounded professional, Rakesh has also had an entrepreneurial stint, having founded Finapple Ideas, a financial advisory company.
Currently, Rakesh is excited about the massive shift of money flowing from the transactions space to assets and the opportunities this shift presents with respect to new fund structures.
Apart from work, Rakesh’s current romance is with marathons – it keeps him fit and is just the quiet time he needs for ideation.
